What’s up Jet Cadet!!! My name is Joshua Jet. Thanks for taking a look at the new brand and site. Jet Cadet is in its purest form a space age clothing line which meets streetwear clothing culture.
Just to tell you a bit about myself I have been working for five years to get to a point where I could start this company. I have been fighting tooth and nail, saving every penny, nickel, and dime, to be where I am now. The idea to start Jet Cadet first came to me in 2005 when I was hustling vintage clothing on Ebay. I would sell the old 50/50 poly cotton tees from the 70s and 80s from tee brands such as Screen Stars, 3d emblem, etc. I began burning myself out listing 20 to 60 new auction items for sale every day, in addition to my full-time retail job. That’s when the idea came to me to start my own clothing line.
I felt I had gained enough knowledge of fashion trends and what people like and don’t like to be able to carry those influences into a line of my own. I wanted to build something more sustainable that people could love for years to come. And also as a result of my vintage clothing selling days some of my line has vintage t shirt influences from the 70s, 80s, and early 90s mixed in with my space age theme.
I decided on the futuristic clothing and space theme based on my own interests. I have always been into shows like star trek, reading about space exploration, and just looking at the stars. I love learning about futuristic technologies and dreaming about what things might look like 50 years from now. I have always had a great interest in life extension and would love to live forever or at least 1000 years.
I know a lot of people have great things that they come up with that their brands stand for, but I really just wanted to keep things simple with Jet Cadet. I don’t have some “End World Poverty” mission statement that this company stands for (even though I think it would be so so awesome if we could end world poverty). Quite simply Jet Cadet is space age clothing line with modern and vintage influences.
Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out the new site.
